I think it is fair to say that summer in Scotland is over. The days are becoming shorter and the usual wet and windy weather accompanies our daily routine. However, some consolation is coming from the warm memories of our holidays in July…
\nThis year we decided to be adventurous and instead of flying we braved a car expedition through the Channel Tunnel \u2013 as if going with three boys and a baby to a local park was not challenging enough. According to Kuba we visited a staggering 11 countries, which includes: Scotland, England, France, Germany, Poland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, England and Scotland… well… we did try to persuade Kuba that you cannot count the same country twice but still, 11 countries was his final count. The point is, we visited a LOT of countries and we very much enjoyed all of them, with their interesting cultural features.
\nIn Scotland everything is great… just a bit too wet to have an exciting holiday adventure, so we decided not to hang around once the end of term school bell had rung. England is warmer but if you want to stand out from the crowd you have to own a yacht and park it on the river Thames (preferably in Henley) \u2013 a bit too pricey for us at the moment. France has the best Formule 1 hotel in Europe (that is in Verdun) because you can run and shout on the corridor, jump from high bunk beds and no one bothers you. France also has the worst Formule 1 hotel in Europe (that is in Lille) where you can do none of these things because a scary man (looking somewhat like the Incredible Hulk) comes to your room to tell you to be quiet. Germany is like Hollywood, only better because it is all real, but you have to behave yourself or else you are in trouble. Holland and Belgium are just fine although it is hard to say as we only stopped there to get some petrol. In Poland hotel \u201cChrobry\u201d (named after the 10th century Polish king) was a bit spooky as there ware scary pictures on the walls and some hungry cats on the balcony kept on trying to get into our milk during the night and were making funny noises.
\nWe also spent 3 weeks in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a visiting our usual favourite places and relaxing as much as we could with four energetic boys needing constant entertainment. As we have not been able to keep in touch with many people recently this was a great opportunity to catch up with family and friends.

Dni s\u0105 coraz kr\u00f3tsze i typowa dla tej cz\u0119\u015bci \u015bwiata plucha pomieszana z silnym wiatrem towarzyszy nam w codziennych zmaganiach. Zagrzewany si\u0119 jedynie ciep\u0142ymi, cho\u0107 nieco ju\u017c zatartymi wspomnieniami naszych tegorocznych letnich wakacji…
\nW tym roku zdecydowali\u015bmy si\u0119 odwa\u017cnie na zmotoryzowan\u0105 ekspedycj\u0119 na stary kontynent poprzez tzw. Channel Tunnel czyli tunel wykopany przez Francuz\u00f3w i Brytyjczyk\u00f3w pod kana\u0142em La Manche. Jak na razie nie kapie jeszcze na g\u0142ow\u0119, wi\u0119c polecam. Przeprawa jest b\u0142yskawiczna i bez choroby morskiej \ud83d\ude09
\nWed\u0142ug Kuby odwiedzili\u015bmy rekordow\u0105 liczb\u0119 jedenastu kraj\u00f3w, do kt\u00f3rych zaliczy\u0142: Szkocj\u0119, Angli\u0119, Francj\u0119, Niemcy, Polsk\u0119, Niemcy, Holandi\u0119, Belgi\u0119, Francj\u0119, Angli\u0119 i Szkocj\u0119. Hmm… pr\u00f3bowali\u015bmy mu wyperswadowa\u0107, \u017ce nie powinien wlicza\u0107 dwukrotnie tych samych kraj\u00f3w, ale dyskusja by\u0142a na pr\u00f3\u017cno. Jedena\u015bcie kraj\u00f3w, to by\u0142o jego ostatnie s\u0142owo. Chodzi o to, \u017ce odwiedzili\u015bmy MN\u00d3STWO kraj\u00f3w i wsz\u0119dzie si\u0119 \u015bwietnie bawili\u015bmy, poznaj\u0105c r\u00f3\u017cne kultury i \u0142ami\u0105c sobie j\u0119zyki przy pr\u00f3bach porozumiewania si\u0119 z tubylcz\u0105 ludno\u015bci\u0105.
\nW Szkocji jest super… chocia\u017c troszk\u0119 za mokro, \u017ceby zaspokoi\u0107 nasz apetyt na wakacyjne s\u0142o\u0144ce, wi\u0119c postanowili\u015bmy d\u0142ugo nie zwleka\u0107 i wyruszy\u0107, gdy tylko ucich\u0142 d\u017awi\u0119k ostatniego szkolnego dzwonka. W Anglii jest troch\u0119 cieplej, ale jak si\u0119 cz\u0142owiek chce wyr\u00f3\u017cni\u0107 z t\u0142umu to trzeba posiada\u0107 dacz\u0119 nad Tamiz\u0105 (najlepiej w miejscowo\u015bci Henley-on-Thames<\/a>) z obowi\u0105zkowym jachtem, \u017ceby pokaza\u0107 innym, \u017ce ma si\u0119 kas\u0119 na cumowanie w tak ekskluzywnym miejscu.
