Even though with some delay, and only in a small company of the closest family and godparents, our Daniel had a most beautiful day for his First Communion which took place in the Holy Ghost Fathers’ community in Carfin. It is worth noting that without realising Daniel has made history for the Spiritans in Carfin as this was the first ever celebration of First Holy Communion since the Carfin house was established in 1974. With the addition of gorgeous sunny weather, you could be forgiven for believing it was May, rather than end of September. It was a very special peaceful day, filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. This smiling happy boy in a kilt could not have been happier.

Pomimo pewnego opóźnienia oraz w nielicznym gronie najbliższej rodziny i rodziców chrzestnych, nasz Daniel przyjął Pierwszą Komunię Świętą w kaplicy zgromadzenia ojców Ducha Świętego w Carfin. Przy tej okazji, zupełnie nie zdając sobie z tego sprawy, Daniel był sprawcą historycznego wydarzenia, gdyż od momentu założenia w roku 1974, jeszcze nie przyjmował Pierwszej Komunii Świętej we wspólnocie ojców Duchaczy w Carfin. Doprawdy epokowe wydarzenie, nieprawdaż? 🙂
Dodatkowo, przy pięknej i słonecznej pogodzie jaką mieliśmy dzisiaj, można było łatwo zapomnieć, że to już koniec września, a nie maj kiedy to komunia miała się odbyć. Doprawdy wspaniały dzień, wypełniony radością i Duchem Świętym. Ten chłopak w szkockiej spódniczce jest dziś bardzo szczęśliwy.

Back in 2004 at the tender age of zero Jakub Karol enjoyed an impromptu concert in Piotrkowska Street with the famous pianist Arthur Rubinstein, who was born and lived in Łódź. At that moment Jakub Karol simply enjoyed the experience of touching cool piano keys, while sitting next to the cool guy with massive hands and nose. What did they play? Nobody really knows, apart from them of course, but they certainly both looked like they were having great fun, and even though we did not hear a thing, it was a pure joy to watch this classico duet.

Little did he know that much later, young but not-as-tender Jakub Karol of seventeen, will be giving a real impromptu concert of classical pieces, for his great uncle James visiting from Portugal, who will be most delighted and impressed with his performance.
Such is life, …like a box of chocolate, you never know what you’re gonna get.
